Privacy & contact
Plain, short and honest.
Who runs this site, how to reach me, and exactly what happens to your data.
Who publishes this site
Swift in Practice is written and published by Bruno Valente, an independent software engineer based in Portugal. For anything about the site, your data, a purchase or an edition, reach me by a message through the Swift in Practice newsletter on LinkedIn.
What this site does not do
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts or web fonts. Reading the site stores nothing on your device.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and the details of each request to deliver pages and protect the site against abuse; it does not use them to profile you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, your email address is used only to send you new editions. It is never sold or shared for marketing, and you can unsubscribe at any time from any email or by contacting me.
Payments and purchases
Contributions go through Buy Me a Coffee and purchases through Stripe; this site never sees your card details. When you buy a masterclass, I keep your email address, the order and the download count to deliver your copy and for the accounting records the law requires. Your email address is printed in your copy as its licence.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its use, by contacting me as above. You can also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
